A senior from West Seneca, N.Y., Poirier became the 15th player in Fredonia women's volleyball history to surpass the 1,000-dig mark, a feat she accomplished Fri., Sept. 15, on match point of a 3-0 victory over John Carroll at the Buffalo State Bengal Challenge. She was named to the all-tournament team. Poirier finished the week with 68 digs, including 22 in a 3-2 victory over the University of Rochester. She finished the week at No. 13 on the Fredonia career list in the digs category.
