A junior from Albion, N.Y., Haines was the pole vault winner Saturday at Mount Union College's Jim Wuske Invitational. By clearing 4.60 meters (15 feet, 1 inch), Haines set a new personal-best and moved up to No. 28 on the current NCAA Division III Indoor qualifying list. His previous best vault was 4.56 meters indoors and 4.50 meters outdoors.
