De La Cruz, a senior from New York, N.Y., had 22 points and eight rebounds as Fredonia defeated Rosemont, 79-71, in the consolation game of the Louis Fleming Basinger Memorial Tournament. He scored eight straight points during a decisive run in the second half. His 11.9 scoring average is second on the team.
