A junior from LeRoy, N.Y., and Notre Dame High School, Carlson set a school record while winning the 1-meter event Saturday at Trinity, Texas. His 529.95 points for 11 dives was 1.05 point better than the previous Fredonia school mark, held by current diving coach Ryan Fuller. Carlson also won the 3-meter event at Trinity on Friday with a personal-best 11-dive score of 560.85 points.
