Bartkowiak, a senior center fielder from Fredonia, recorded her 53rd career stolen base last Wednesday at Allegheny to become the school record-holder in the category. She surpassed Heather Mercer, who stole 52 bases from 2001-04. Bartkowiak still trails Mercer in career hits, 169 to 161. They are No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on the Fredonia State all-time list.
