Meszaros, a senior goalkeeper from Selden, N.Y., stopped a potential game-tying goal with a leaping save in the final five minutes of the Blue Devils' 1-0 win Aug. 31 at Roanoke. Her team had just taken a 1-0 lead when Meszaros lead backward and deflected a high arcing shot with her hand. The ball deflected off the crossbar and was cleared by a teammate. It was one of five saves she had and resulted in her 15th career shutout.
