FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Two Fredonia State softball players have added a second post-season honor to their 2012 resumes.
Senior first baseman
Michelle Lattner (Cheektowaga) and junior center fielder
Katie Bartkowiak (Fredonia) were named today to the National Fastball Coaches Association's Northeast Region Third Team.
Lattner and Bartkowiak were selected to the All SUNYAC Team last week.
Lattner batted .404 and Bartkowiak .400 during the 2012 season. Those numbers represent the sixth and eighth highest single-season averages, respectively, in Fredonia State softball history.
Bartkowiak also has the top two single-season averages (.451 and .437), while Lattner's four-season average of .317 is tied for seventh among Blue Devils who have completed their NCAA eligibility.
