Team tied for second at Walker Invite

RESULTS
GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. -- The men's cross country team turned in a second-place finish in the points race -- tied with Geneseo -- at the Daniel Walker Invitational hosted by Buffalo State on Saturday. Geneseo was given the second place finish, as they held the advantage with the sixth and seventh runners for the tiebreaker.

Junior Peter Francia was fourth in a field of 101 runners with a time of 27:00. The top three runners all hailed from Edinboro University, with Mike Thielman winning in a time of 26:45 as the Scots claimed the team title.

Junior Ryan Delaney (27:55, 17th), junior Jack Bennett (28:09, 23rd), sopohmore Jake Krautwurst (28:16, 24th) and freshman Alex Gonzalez (28:21, 25th) were the other point-earners for the Devils.

The Devils will play host to the Blue Devil Invitational next weekend.
