One of the most highly skilled players ever to wear a Blue Devil uniform, Ralph Dennis excelled as both a midfielder and sweeper for the Fredonia State men's soccer team. A four-time letterman, Mr. Dennis helped lead the Blue Devils to an impressive 44-17-6 record from 1975 to 1979. With his help, Fredonia State was crowned SUNYAC West champions in 1977 and ECAC Upstate New York champions in 1979. As a freshman, he was a member of Fredonia State's 17-2 team that finished fifth in the nation in the NAIA national tournament. Name to the all-conference team three times (1977, 1978, 1979), Mr. Dennis was selected All New York State and tabbed 1979 SUNYAC Player of the Year his senior year. A 1980 graduate with a bachelor's degree in Sociology, he was working as a habilitation plan coordinator for the North Jersey Developmental Center in Totowa, N.J., at the time of his induction.
