The following information was taken from the Hall of Fame program published at the time of induction. Some editing was required:
A five-time All American in the long jump, Patrick Corbett was a stalwart performer with the men’s track and field team. From 1984-88, he earned 10 varsity letters. He was the 1986 NCAA Division III indoor long jump champ and was the New York State Collegiate Track and Field Association champion in the decathlon, pentathlon (1986), and long jump. Mr. Corbett was also State University of New York Athletic Conference long jump champion seven times, high hurdle champion twice, and won the SUNYAC javelin title once (1987). A three-time recipient of the college's Male Athlete of the Year award, Mr. Corbett held the Fredonia State (24' 3 1/2") and SUNYAC meet (24' 2 1/2") long jump record at the time of his induction. He received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Fredonia State in 1988. When inducted, he was serving as dock foreman for the Carolina Freight Carrier Corporation in Tonawanda, N.Y.
