A prolific scorer (56 goals) and All-America in junior college, Pat Occhiuto made the switch to mid-field at Fredonia to help strengthen the Blue Devil defense. The team's leading scorer his junior year and outstanding performer at his new position, Mr. Occhiuto was named to the All New York State soccer team and the SUNYAC all-star team both his junior and senior seasons After graduation from Fredonia State, Mr. Occhiuto played professional soccer with the Rochester Flash of the American Soccer League, the Buffalo Stallions and Kansas City Comets of the Major Indoor Soccer League, and the Buffalo Storm of the United Soccer League. He is a 1979 graduate with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and Economics. At the time of his induction in 1989, he was working as a sales representative for the Alloy Supply Company in Buffalo, N.Y.
