The following information was taken from the Hall of Fame program published at the time of induction. Some editing was required:

A four-year letter winner in both women's cross country and track & field, Michelle Woodard Ziemba set numerous indoor and outdoor records at Fredonia State. Considered Fredonia State's top female distance runner from 1981 to 1984, Ms. Ziemba held no less than nine school records when she graduated in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. A member of the SUNYAC Cross Country Hall of Fame, she was a qualifier and competitor at the NCAA Division III Cross Country championship meet. In 1984, at the end of her collegiate running career, Ms. Ziemba was named the Agnes Michaels Female Athlete of the Year. She ws working as retail manager for Medved Running and Sports in Pittsford, N.Y., at the time of her induction.
